Busy busy!

I know I'm long overdue (almost 2 weeks... EEK!) for an Turner update! LOL! So here goes!

The craft fair was pretty much a success! Although I only sold a handful (count 5) of the matted 4x6 images, I did get a lot of traffic looking, talking to me about future photos, and taking business cards. I did get contacted the very next morning by a bride who's mother came and looked. At first she thought Shawn's dad was the photographer, but he just sent her in my direction. LOL! The bride looked at my website (see link on side bar), liked what she saw, and contacted me! So this Saturday we are meeting up to discuss her event. Hopefully she'll book and then I'll have 2 weddings coming up to shoot! One is in October and hers is in June 2009. I've gotten some additional hits on my website so we'll see what happens. I'm going to get some business cards printed that have an actual photo on them and see if I can place them at some of the local business in Cologne & Waconia. Out here a lot of people like to use local vendors/businesses whenever possible. So being out in the boon docks just might be in my favor!

Before I go on I have some people I'd like to thank for helping me with the fair.
Shawn - For telling me to just do it and I'm so glad you did! Plus all of the assistance the week leading up to it with getting ready and making sure I wasn't procrastinating! LOL! I love you honey!!

Dad - For helping me get the display setup in the tent and for checking on me during the day at the fair. I love you!

Mom - For helping watch Noah and doing such a good job of putting the matted prints together while we finished up the displays. Also for helping me get organized so I didn't forget anything. And for hanging out with me that afternoon at the fair! I love you!

J - For sweeping in and helping your big sis finish up everything when you had only just arrived the day before and were pooped out! I'm so glad you were here and appreciate everything you did! I love you!!!

Jolyn - For being a great cheerleader & foam core cutter... :D I so appreciate everything you did! Oh and for letting me borrow your cricut cartridges! :) I so owe you a drink tomorrow night.... Love ya babe!

Amanda and Mitch - Thanks for hanging out with me that day! It was nice to have the company!! :) Love you guys!

Barb and Steve - Thank you for coming and supporting me that day. I'm so glad you guys came! I hope you enjoy your road trip to WY! Love you!!

Charles in Charge - Thanks for coming to visit the booth. I was so happy to see you! Love you too!

Jenn - Thank you for being my distance cheerleader and for getting those pics I took of you guys to me on short notice!! Love ya sweetie!

Lisa - For being another one of my distance cheerleaders! Thanks you!!! I love you!

Shira, Gemma, & Nicole - You gals rock! Thanks for helping me out with the website stuff and for cheering me on from afar! It means a lot to me. I can always count on my DMer's! Love you guys!!!!

***Now back to your regularly scheduled updates***
We had a nice visit (albeight short) with Jaime & Charlie. As usual they had a lot going on, but we did get to spend some time with them. So I'll take whatever I can get! They brought Sam-a-lama with and we got to take care of her overnight last Friday while J & C attended Melissa's wedding. She was such a good puppy. She watched over Noah very carefully. :) And her and Tankie get along really well too. There are a few pictures in the August album from the weekend so go check it out!

Finally, this Friday our little bubs will be 8 months old. Where has the time gone??! He is army crawling, psuedo crawling (aka he can make 1 step with regular crawling), sitting up, chattering away, teething (yup, 2 more teefers are in up top!), and waking Mommy & Daddy up at midnight (well just the other day only)! He is the apple of our eyes. It's hard to believe that this time last year we had only found out that he was going to be a he. Now we've got our little dude moving around like crazy! Just like when he was in my belly. Everyone now gets to experience his kicking efforts like I did when he was in utero. LOL! Sucka's!

We've got a fairly laid back month ahead of us. Which is nice considering we've been pretty darn busy lately! I'll leave you with a couple of pictures I took last night of Noah. They crack me up a bit!

Here he is in his Daddy's little rocking chair. He put his leg up there himself. I think he just wanted to chill... :)

Love it! Love the pics! Love the post! Love ya! And don't forget that it's mostly YOU that's getting this done for yourself. You are ambitious and talented and you should be proud. The rest of us are just at your back...
