Main Street U.S.A.!!!

We've been back for about a week now, but I came down with the cold bug so it's been a miserable week.  So hence my delay in our trip recap!

Noah and I had a WONDERFUL time!!!  Thank you to Stephen & Marilyn for a lovely dinner on Friday night.  It was so nice to see you guys and have you be able to meet Noah!  Thank you to Shira, Chris, Gemma, & Rich for taking such good care of us that weekend!  We had so much fun and I can not WAIT until next time!!!

Noah was such a trooper!  He did really well and I must say so did I for being a single parent that weekend.  Gold stars for both of us!  LOL!  Not only was it Noah's first time to WDW, but it was my first time down there for the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.  And man, did we eat our selves silly on Saturday night!  Despite the not so normal heat/humidity (it was 94 on Sunday and about 200% humidity) it was a very nice weekend for FL weather.  A little bit o rain, but nothing to spoil the entire day!

Noah's very first ride was The Seas with Nemo & Friends.  He LOVED it!  Shira, Gemma, and I all squeezed into the clamshell with Noah on my lap.  It gets a little dark on this ride, but Noah did not mind it at all.  After we spent the rest of our time at EPCOT wandering the World Showcase stuffing our faces with food, and dancing around to the music.  [the boys did roll their eyes at us on some occasions]  Shira got Noah to sleep and we ended the night with a quick pitstop into a gift shop and a picture in front of Spaceship Earth with all of us.

Sunday the girls & I took Noah to Magic Kingdom.  Our first stop was to get Noah his very first pair of Mickey Ears and have them embroidered with his name.  After that we were able to get him to keep them on for about oh... 10 minutes.  LOL!  That boy does NOT like to wear hats.  We got to watch the Main Street performers and they all kept on coming up to Noah and say "oh you're so cute!"  well he did fine until the last group.  That time it freaked him out.  It was pretty funny, but I think you had to be there.  We took him on Cinderella's Carousel and he absolutely loved it!  We also took him on It's a Small World.  After that he got sleepy so I got him changed into something cooler and then he completely passed out while I was holding him as we were in line for Haunted Mansion.  Minus 2 times he woke up, hollered for 5 seconds each time (I would too if the lap bar squished my tush).  He slept through the entire ride and then some.  We had lunch at the Plaza restaurant and then decided to try to get to see Mickey in ToonTown before we had to leave.  Well, it was a 90 minute wait to see the mouse, so we said NO WAY!  On our way out, Shira called the WDW dining line and was able to get me a reservation at Cape May Cafe the next morning (the day we left) so Noah could at least meet some characters.  We headed over to Downtown Disney for a bit of shopping & to meet up with some others.  After that we spent the rest of the evening at Chris' mom's house for taco night!  It was a very nice way to end our trip.  Just relaxing with friends.

Noah and I had a really good time at breakfast the next morning.  He did pretty well with the characters.  He wasn't too sure about Goofy, but he liked Minnie & Donald!  The characters were so nice, they sat down at our table with us to get down to Noah's level and interacted with him.  It was wonderful!  We also made a quick pitstop at Ariels so I could get a picture of Noah under the sign as that is where Shawn & I had our reception.  :)  Ahhhh....  Memories!

It was a great trip and I am so thankful to Shawn for sending us there.  I wish he would've been there with us, but we are going next year for thanksgiving.  So we have that to look forward too.  And it'll be a longer trip so we'll get to see everything we want to (most likely).  Especially the holiday stuff!!

Check out our pictures from the trip!  Click on the Our Pictures link on the right and then head on over to the WDW Trip album.

TTFN!!!
