Sleddin sleddin sleddin...

Keep them sleds a goin... Don't stop for 220 miles... RAWHIDE!

Well that should say 307 miles, but 87 of them we did the first day. Shawn and I headed up to Two Harbors, MN for a weekend of snowmobiling the North Shore Trail. We rode to Gooseberry Falls the first day and put-zed around up there. Note to self... Bring a different pair of boots with if we do that again. My snowmobiling boots are really heavy and not conducive to hiking.

Frozen Gooseberry Falls is really pretty.... Even in a snowstorm....

Day 2 had us going 220 miles total. And it was not an easy 220 miles either. There was 6 inches or so of fresh snow on the trail down in Two Harbors. When we got further north there was 12-18 inches of new snow. The trails were beautiful, but the corners were hairy.... One trail we went on had probably only 1 other sled on it that whole day.

Taking a quick break

Where's Shawn?

Beautiful snowy trail

We had a great time even though we were super sore and tired on Sunday. So we just decided to pack up and head to Duluth for lunch at Grandma's before heading home. It was colder in Duluth then it was in Two Harbors. Gotta love the lake! LOL!

Definitely will head back up there next year if the snow is good again. It was lots of fun and we have a ton more to explore than what we did this year.
