9 Months!!

I swear it was just yesterday that I was saying to myself "Only 9 months and I'll get to hold my baby..." Well now I'm saying I can't believe it's been 9 months since Noah has been born! He is such a wonderful blessing for us. We smile, laugh, and love every minute with him. Yes even when he's fussy, screaming, crying, etc... We love him to death. But we do love it even more when he's happy! He had a 9 month well baby visit on his actual 9 month birthday. And as usual he did not disappoint Dr. Marcia. He was all smiley and a good boy for the exam. What made it even better was that he didn't have to get any shots! Yahoo!

So here is our "little" man's stats:
Height - 30 1/4 inches (95%)
Weight - 19 lbs 13 oz (25%)

As you all probably know we are HUGE Disney fans in the Turner household. Imagine that! Would explain the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding we had eh? LOL! Anyways, I have been in dire need of a Disney fix and my wonderful husband has surprised me with a long weekend at the house of Mouse! YIPPEE!!! Unfortunately it will just be Noah and I going, Shawn will be staying home. But as he has told me, he's going to sit and watch football all weekend long and do NOTHING else! LOL! I'm so excited to take Noah to Disney!! We are spending the weekend with some very good friends of mine. They are so pumped to finally be able to meet Noah! I don't think this little guy realizes what he is in for... Plenty of pictures will be taken!

Is it October yet? :)

And what would be a post without a couple of pictures??

Noah's got the sleddin' itch!

Where's Tank?

Noah's "jail" - the only place he's not getting into trouble

Yay!  No Shots for me today!!

MN Zoo

Last weekend we brought Noah to the MN Zoo. We met up with 2 other couples with their kids. All 3 of the kids did such a good job that day! We had a very nice day. Noah sat at the dolphin tank and followed Seemo (the male dolphin) around when we first got there. He had lots of fun at the Wells Fargo Family Farm with the goats. They nibbled on his little hand and he loved it! It was so cute!

You can see some of the pictures in the MN Zoo album when you click on the Our Pictures link.

I also added a ton more pictures to the August album as well.

This weekend Shawn & I are heading to Valleyfair, he'll do some golfing this weekend, and then on Labor Day we are heading to the State Fair to see Toby Keith with our good friends the Barnes'. It's turning into a tradition for us. They've had some good artists there the past few years. (Now Mom stop shaking your head in dismay... I love all types of music!) It'll be a nice way to spend the last holiday weekend of the summer!

Finally, in Noah news... Someone has decided to learn how to pull himself up on things. Most especially his crib! The little bugger has almost pulled himself out of his crib while I went to grab a new diaper from his closet. Yup, he's THAT fast. Needless to say Shawn shall be lowering his mattress tomorrow so we can avoid any potential disasters. Boys. LOL!

Ta ta for now!

How many...

Teeth can one little boy get at once??? 4! Yes, we are in the midst of a teething frenzy here at our house. Noah is getting in 4 more teeth at the moment. That will bring his total to 8 chompers. Also with that he is finally getting the chewing motion down so he is now a pro at eating puffs, toast, rice krispies, etc... We are just starting to introduce meat, but it's been a rough week so I've put that on hold until next week. Someone thought waking up every 2 hours on Wednesday night was a good idea. Mommy & Daddy had to disagree though. So Shawn and I are very SLEEPY.

This weekend we are heading to the MN Zoo and meeting some friends there. I'm so excited to go! We haven't been in 2 years and they've made some great new changes/updates there. I'm hoping to take Noah's 8 month portraits there as well. He loves animals (especially his big brother Tank) so I'm anxious to see his reaction to the animals there.

And just because he is such a ham. He decided he wanted to try feeding himself last night. Here are the results.

The little dude ended up in the tub after that! LOL!

Busy busy!

I know I'm long overdue (almost 2 weeks... EEK!) for an Turner update! LOL! So here goes!

The craft fair was pretty much a success! Although I only sold a handful (count 5) of the matted 4x6 images, I did get a lot of traffic looking, talking to me about future photos, and taking business cards. I did get contacted the very next morning by a bride who's mother came and looked. At first she thought Shawn's dad was the photographer, but he just sent her in my direction. LOL! The bride looked at my website (see link on side bar), liked what she saw, and contacted me! So this Saturday we are meeting up to discuss her event. Hopefully she'll book and then I'll have 2 weddings coming up to shoot! One is in October and hers is in June 2009. I've gotten some additional hits on my website so we'll see what happens. I'm going to get some business cards printed that have an actual photo on them and see if I can place them at some of the local business in Cologne & Waconia. Out here a lot of people like to use local vendors/businesses whenever possible. So being out in the boon docks just might be in my favor!

Before I go on I have some people I'd like to thank for helping me with the fair.
Shawn - For telling me to just do it and I'm so glad you did! Plus all of the assistance the week leading up to it with getting ready and making sure I wasn't procrastinating! LOL! I love you honey!!

Dad - For helping me get the display setup in the tent and for checking on me during the day at the fair. I love you!

Mom - For helping watch Noah and doing such a good job of putting the matted prints together while we finished up the displays. Also for helping me get organized so I didn't forget anything. And for hanging out with me that afternoon at the fair! I love you!

J - For sweeping in and helping your big sis finish up everything when you had only just arrived the day before and were pooped out! I'm so glad you were here and appreciate everything you did! I love you!!!

Jolyn - For being a great cheerleader & foam core cutter... :D I so appreciate everything you did! Oh and for letting me borrow your cricut cartridges! :) I so owe you a drink tomorrow night.... Love ya babe!

Amanda and Mitch - Thanks for hanging out with me that day! It was nice to have the company!! :) Love you guys!

Barb and Steve - Thank you for coming and supporting me that day. I'm so glad you guys came! I hope you enjoy your road trip to WY! Love you!!

Charles in Charge - Thanks for coming to visit the booth. I was so happy to see you! Love you too!

Jenn - Thank you for being my distance cheerleader and for getting those pics I took of you guys to me on short notice!! Love ya sweetie!

Lisa - For being another one of my distance cheerleaders! Thanks you!!! I love you!

Shira, Gemma, & Nicole - You gals rock! Thanks for helping me out with the website stuff and for cheering me on from afar! It means a lot to me. I can always count on my DMer's! Love you guys!!!!

***Now back to your regularly scheduled updates***
We had a nice visit (albeight short) with Jaime & Charlie. As usual they had a lot going on, but we did get to spend some time with them. So I'll take whatever I can get! They brought Sam-a-lama with and we got to take care of her overnight last Friday while J & C attended Melissa's wedding. She was such a good puppy. She watched over Noah very carefully. :) And her and Tankie get along really well too. There are a few pictures in the August album from the weekend so go check it out!

Finally, this Friday our little bubs will be 8 months old. Where has the time gone??! He is army crawling, psuedo crawling (aka he can make 1 step with regular crawling), sitting up, chattering away, teething (yup, 2 more teefers are in up top!), and waking Mommy & Daddy up at midnight (well just the other day only)! He is the apple of our eyes. It's hard to believe that this time last year we had only found out that he was going to be a he. Now we've got our little dude moving around like crazy! Just like when he was in my belly. Everyone now gets to experience his kicking efforts like I did when he was in utero. LOL! Sucka's!

We've got a fairly laid back month ahead of us. Which is nice considering we've been pretty darn busy lately! I'll leave you with a couple of pictures I took last night of Noah. They crack me up a bit!

Here he is in his Daddy's little rocking chair. He put his leg up there himself. I think he just wanted to chill... :)

Sleepy Head

After a long hard morning of posing for the camera (Thanks again Ellen!) this is what happens to a 7 month old when you take him on a walk...

At least he was happy as a clam! LOL!
