Sleddin sleddin sleddin...

Keep them sleds a goin... Don't stop for 220 miles... RAWHIDE!

Well that should say 307 miles, but 87 of them we did the first day. Shawn and I headed up to Two Harbors, MN for a weekend of snowmobiling the North Shore Trail. We rode to Gooseberry Falls the first day and put-zed around up there. Note to self... Bring a different pair of boots with if we do that again. My snowmobiling boots are really heavy and not conducive to hiking.

Frozen Gooseberry Falls is really pretty.... Even in a snowstorm....

Day 2 had us going 220 miles total. And it was not an easy 220 miles either. There was 6 inches or so of fresh snow on the trail down in Two Harbors. When we got further north there was 12-18 inches of new snow. The trails were beautiful, but the corners were hairy.... One trail we went on had probably only 1 other sled on it that whole day.

Taking a quick break

Where's Shawn?

Beautiful snowy trail

We had a great time even though we were super sore and tired on Sunday. So we just decided to pack up and head to Duluth for lunch at Grandma's before heading home. It was colder in Duluth then it was in Two Harbors. Gotta love the lake! LOL!

Definitely will head back up there next year if the snow is good again. It was lots of fun and we have a ton more to explore than what we did this year.

Last Minute Trip!

While our friends were in town for New Years we decided to book a surprise trip down to O-town to see our other friends new baby girl. Needless to say we succeeded in surprising the pants off of Shira & Chris! Gem & Rich walked up to their house with the boys and Shira in her sleeplessness was so confused as to why they had Noah & Brandon. LOL! Then when Shawn & I came around the corner she was totally speechless. It was AWESOME! We had a wonderful day with them! Annabelle is just the cutest little button. Noah and Brandon gave her lots of loves. We have yet to decide which one she is betrothed too. ;)

We were able to also make it to both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom the next day. And because it's winter Wishes is shown earlier in the evening so that worked out great for us. The boys were able to see their first fireworks show. And they LOVED it! Noah kept on going "boom! boom! boom!" Gem & Rich's house is within viewing distance so Noah also got to see them the other 2 nights as well. And now he associates seeing fireworks with Uncle Rich's house. That's apparantely where you are supposed to watch them. LOL!

It was a great although short weekend visit. We go back down in May to celebrate our 5 year anniversary (a month early) with my folks, Jaime & Charlie, Threshers, and Burns. It's going to be a great trip and we can not wait!! We are staying in the Treehouse Villas on property and that will be fun! So excited!

Roll on May!!

2010 Holiday Happenings!

The holidays have been over for almost a month now, but it seriously feels like they just got done. We were very blessed this year to be able to spend the holidays with our family and good friends. Our celebrations did not end until after the New Year. Here are some collages of our fun times over those couple of weeks!

Christmas Eve & Day with the Turner's and Strandmarks/Marshiks!

Brandon's first haircut!

New Years Eve Weekend with our good friends the Threshers, who made the trek all the way from the UK (via Orlando... LOL!)!

I can neither confirm nor deny that there may have been drinking involved this weekend. ;)
Up Next.... Last Minute Trip!

Turner Family Xmas 2010

We celebrated Christmas with the Turner side of the family last weekend. Brian, Val, and Tyson are heading to Wisconsin, so we celebrated early with everyone. It was a good time and the boys had lots of fun playing with their cousins. All of their new toys are currently spread out over the living room floor. The cats do not like the R/C T-Rex that Noah got. Which I had to torture them with today for fun. LOL! :D
More holiday fun is just around the corner for us!

Happy Holidays From Our Crazy Clan To Yours!

With Love,

Cookie Decorating & Snowmobiling!

We've had some fun during all of the snowstorms that we've gotten this month. Shawn took Noah out on the snowmobile around the neighborhood the day after his birthday party. It was a bit too cold for B so I kept him inside, but man was the lil B itching to go! Noah had a lot of fun and Shawn can't show him he's going now without a fit ensuing from said 3 year old. B even throws one, especially if you take him off said snowmobile after he cimbs on it. SIGH... I don't think I'll ever get to move to warmer state now. :(

The day before Blizzard 2010 as it shall be called in our house, I decided to pick up some cookie making supplies to try making xmas cookies with the boys. B had more fun eating the cookies then decorating them. Noah as you can see was decorating, but then got annoyed at Momma for taking too many pictures. Two words for that "Tough Cookies". Momma takes pictures, deal with it. LOL!

Captain Noah's 3rd Birthday!

How did our little baby boy turn 3 already? I know I say this every year, but I really don't understand where the time has gone. Is it always gonna go this fast? Thank goodness I take lots of pictures!

His birthday party was a pirate theme this year. I must say it was a hit. There was sword fighting abound that day! Thank you Mom & Dad for bringing the foam swords & eye patches. The kids (and adults) loved them!
